Richter PFA/PTFE shut-off and control butterfly valves are designed for industrial applications in which corrosive, hazardous or pure media need to be shut off, throttled or controlled reliably. As part of the Richter valve range, they are suitable for liquids, gases and vapours in demanding process plants.
The PFA/PTFE-lined butterfly valves are used where metallic materials or other plastics are not sufficiently corrosion-resistant. Depending on the body design, wafer valves (“sandwich-type”) and lug-type butterfly valves (“Anflansch” design) are available. Lug-type butterfly valves may also be used for dead-end service when combined with a securely bolted blind flange.Richter butterfly valves are used for the shut-off, throttling and control of corrosive, hazardous and pure liquids, gases and vapours. Typical media include wet Cl₂ gas and NaOH in chlor-alkali electrolysis, as well as H₂SO₄, HCl, NaOH, NaOCl and chemical effluent.
